Advertising Policy

1.1Who This Applies To

This policy applies to sellers purchasing promoted placement, display advertisers, affiliate partners, agencies, and any user who publishes commercial content on Listifys. General listings that are commercial in nature must also follow these rules and our Community Guidelines.

1.2Relationship to Other Policies

Advertising must comply with the Prohibited Items Policy, User Generated Content Policy, AI Content Policy, Copyright & IP Policy, and applicable consumer protection and advertising standards in India (including ASCI-aligned practices) and other jurisdictions.

2.1Eligible Products and Services

• Legal goods and services allowed under Listifys category rules
• Promoted listings with accurate pricing and availability
• Brand campaigns for verified business accounts where supported
• Localized offers that comply with import, licensing, and age restrictions

2.2Truthful Representations

Ads must not mislead about price, condition, discounts, shipping, warranties, or affiliation with Listifys. Before-and-after claims, testimonials, and comparative statements must be substantiated and clearly disclosed where required.

3.1Restricted Categories

• Illegal products, weapons, drugs, tobacco to minors, counterfeit goods
• Adult sexual services, escort listings, or explicit content outside age-gated rules
• Unverified health cures, miracle weight-loss claims, or deceptive financial schemes
• Political campaigning where prohibited by local law or Listifys program terms
• Discriminatory housing, employment, or credit ads violating fair advertising laws

3.2Deceptive Practices

• Fake urgency, bait-and-switch pricing, or hidden fees
• Impersonation of Listifys or government entities
• Malware, phishing, or ads designed primarily to harvest credentials
• Keyword spam or irrelevant category placement to manipulate discovery

4.1Paid Placement Disclosure

Promoted listings and display ads are labeled as Sponsored, Promoted, or Ad so users can distinguish paid placement from organic results. Labels must remain visible on supported surfaces and not be obscured by creative elements.

4.2AI-Generated Ad Creative

Synthetic images, voices, or copy must not depict real individuals without consent or imply false endorsements. AI-assisted ads must still be truthful and are subject to our AI Content Policy.

5.1Audience Restrictions

We prohibit targeting ads to children under 18 and restrict sensitive categories such as alcohol, gambling, or financial products to eligible ages and regions. Interest-based targeting must respect user consent choices under our Cookie Policy and regional privacy laws including DPDP Act and GDPR.

5.2Advertiser Data

Advertisers must not upload or use Listifys user data for off-platform retargeting without explicit permission and a lawful basis. Data processing agreements may be required for enterprise advertisers.

6.1Ad Review

Ads may be reviewed manually or automatically before or after delivery. We may disapprove, pause, or remove campaigns that violate this policy or generate high complaint volume.

6.2Refunds and Credits

Fees for rejected or removed ads are generally non-refundable except for clear platform errors or where law mandates remedies. Billing disputes: contact@listifys.com within 30 days of invoice.

7.2Effective Date

Effective July 14, 2026. Listifys may update ad products and this policy with notice on our Legal Center.
