API Terms

1-1Agreement

By registering for API credentials, calling Listifys endpoints, or using sample code from our developer documentation, you agree to these API Terms, the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and any executed partner agreement that supplements them.

1-2Provider

1-3No Public Scraping

Unless expressly authorized under these terms or a written agreement, automated harvesting of Listifys web pages, mobile traffic, or private endpoints is prohibited. Unauthorized access may result in IP blocking, account termination, and legal action.

2-1Credentials

API keys, OAuth client IDs, client secrets, and webhook signing secrets are confidential. You must not embed secrets in client-side code, public repositories, or shared dashboards.

2-2Approval

We may require an application describing your use case, data handling practices, expected call volume, and compliance posture before issuing production credentials. Sandbox keys may be available for testing with synthetic or limited data.

2-3Account Standing

Your Listifys account and any linked seller profile must remain in good standing. Policy violations, fraud investigations, or chargeback spikes may suspend API access immediately.

3-1Allowed Integrations

• Managing your own listings, inventory, and order status
• Receiving webhook notifications for messages, offers, and fulfillment events you are party to
• Generating internal business analytics for your Listifys activity
• Partner integrations expressly approved in writing by Listifys

3-2Prohibited Use

• Accessing or aggregating data of other users without their explicit authorization
• Building competing marketplaces or data products from Listifys content
• Circumventing fees, rate limits, CAPTCHAs, or security controls
• Sending spam, bulk unsolicited messages, or automated bids without consent
• Processing personal data in violation of applicable privacy law or our Privacy Policy
• Reverse engineering undocumented endpoints or probing for vulnerabilities

3-3User Authorization

If your application acts on behalf of other Listifys users, you must obtain clear authorization, disclose data practices, and support revocation of access tokens promptly.

4-1Personal Data

API responses may contain personal data such as names, phone numbers, addresses, and message content. You are an independent controller or processor for that data depending on your use case and must implement appropriate legal bases, notices, retention limits, and security under GDPR, UK GDPR, DPDP Act, CCPA/CPRA, and other applicable laws.

4-2Data Minimization

Request only the scopes and fields necessary for your integration. Cache data no longer than needed for the stated purpose and delete it when the user disconnects or you cease offering the integration.

4-3Security Incidents

Notify api@listifys.com and contact@listifys.com within seventy-two (72) hours of discovering a breach involving Listifys API data. Cooperate with remediation and user notification efforts.

5-1Rate Limits and Quotas

We publish default rate limits in developer documentation and may apply custom quotas per credential. Excessive traffic, retry storms, or abusive polling may trigger throttling or suspension.

5-2Backward Compatibility

We may add fields, endpoints, or webhook events without notice. Breaking changes to stable versions will be announced with a reasonable deprecation window except for urgent security fixes.

5-3No Service Level Guarantee

Unless covered by a paid enterprise agreement, APIs are provided without uptime guarantees. Maintenance windows and emergency outages may occur without compensation.

6-1Listifys IP

Documentation, SDKs, trademarks, and data models remain Listifys property. These terms do not grant rights to our brand except as needed for required attribution in partner programs.

6-2Your Content

You retain rights to your application code. You grant Listifys a limited license to test and reference your integration for support, security review, and marketing only with your consent.

6-3Feedback

Suggestions you provide about APIs may be used by Listifys without restriction or compensation.

7-1Free and Paid Tiers

Basic API access may be free for eligible sellers. High-volume, commercial, or white-label integrations may require a separate fee schedule or revenue share under a partner agreement.

7-2Taxes

You are responsible for taxes associated with your products and services built on Listifys APIs, excluding taxes on Listifys' own income.

8-1Suspension

We may suspend credentials immediately for security threats, policy violations, legal orders, or traffic anomalies. We will provide notice when safe and practical.

8-2Effect of Termination

Upon termination, you must stop calling APIs, delete cached personal data within thirty (30) days unless law requires retention, and certify deletion upon request.

8-3Disclaimer and Liability

APIs are provided "as is." Listifys disclaims warranties and limits liability as described in the Terms of Service. You indemnify Listifys for claims arising from your integration's misuse of data or violation of law, except to the extent caused by Listifys' negligence.

9-1Governing Law

These API Terms are governed by the same law and dispute provisions as our Terms of Service unless a signed partner agreement states otherwise.
