Law Enforcement Request Policy

1.1Commitment

We disclose user data to law enforcement only when requests are legally valid, sufficiently scoped, and consistent with applicable constitutional, statutory, and human rights protections. We push back on overbroad, informal, or defective requests.

1.2Emergency Exceptions

In imminent danger situations involving risk of death or serious physical harm, Listifys may disclose limited information to appropriate authorities without full process when we believe in good faith that delay would increase risk, consistent with Indian IT Act Section 69 and comparable international frameworks.

2.1Channel

Official requests should be sent to contact@listifys.com from an agency domain email where possible. Physical service may be directed to Listifys, 1000 Bearcat Way Suite 105 Unit 5, Morrisville, NC 27560, USA | Workafella Cyber Crown HiTech City, 7th Floor HUDA Techno Enclave Madhapur, Hyderabad Telangana 500081, India.

2.2Required Information

• Agency name, officer name, badge or ID number, and official contact details
• Specific Listifys identifiers: username, email, phone, listing URL, transaction ID, or date range
• Clear description of records sought and lawful authority (warrant, court order, subpoena, statutory notice)
• Certification of good faith and relevance to an official investigation
• Requested response deadline and preferred secure delivery method

2.3India-Specific Requests

Requests involving Indian users should cite applicable authority under the IT Act 2000, Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita where relevant, DPDP Act 2023 safeguards, and any valid order from competent Indian courts or authorized agencies. Mutual legal assistance may be required for cross-border evidence.

3.1Validation

Our legal team reviews requests for authenticity, jurisdiction, legal basis, and scope. We may require supplemental process, narrowing, or judge-signed orders before producing content or non-basic subscriber information.

3.2Notice to Users

Where legally permitted, Listifys notifies affected users before disclosure so they may challenge the request. We may delay notice when a valid non-disclosure order applies or notice would create risk of harm or evidence destruction.

3.3Data Provided

Depending on the request and our records, we may provide account registration data, IP logs, listing metadata, message headers, transaction records, and content where compelled. Deleted data may be unavailable except from limited backups per our Data Retention Policy.

4.1Hold Process

Law enforcement may request preservation of specific account records while obtaining formal process. Preservation requests must identify the account and date range. We preserve applicable data for up to 90 days, extendable upon confirmation of pending legal process.

5.1Privacy Rights

Users retain rights under the DPDP Act, GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA/CPRA to access, correct, or challenge processing of their data. Privacy inquiries unrelated to active criminal process: contact@listifys.com.

5.2Transparency Reporting

Listifys publishes periodic summaries of government request volumes and compliance rates where lawful, aggregated to protect investigations and user privacy.

6.1Zero Tolerance

Child sexual abuse material is strictly prohibited. Listifys uses industry hash-matching tools and reports confirmed CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or appropriate Indian authorities such as CERT-In and law enforcement, and preserves evidence as required by law.
